Quartet for Piano, Celestra, Soprano Saxophone, Eb Saxophone 1976
The Background reflects the overall brittle intensity of the composition. This work was done just after the violin series and my last work in purely traditional notation. This sax quartet, I feel is a vast improvement over the earlier works in both structural outlay and pattern of sequence control- as one. One plays in, over and out of the rectangle and cube forms. This is the only work that still has the performance schematic on the backside.
